Slay the Day Coffee Stopper

Slay the Day Coffee Stopper

Loving the new dies by Karen Burniston!  This is the knight, which also comes with a dragon.  SO CUTE! The "Slay the Day" was printed onto clear sticker paper, using a free font called "Prince Valiant"  by Dieter Steffmann.

Coffees make great gifts, and stoppers with a quickly printed label sticker are a great way to personalize them.

The knight was made using the technique Karen used for her gingerbread cookie sheets, in the gingerbread tag book video.  I die cut and assembled the knight, and then went over it with Black Soot Distress paint. I am sure stain would work, too.  Before it dried, I wiped most of it off with a paper towel so there would be areas left to bring in a worn look.  I went over the sword handle with a little bit of gold pearl paint.

The gorgeous background for this latte cup was painted by my daughter, Kara.  Thank you, Kara!  Love it.

Here's a video showing how I made this!  Easy!
